Ohio Wine even in Amish Country

As time goes by more and more wineries and wine-tasting showrooms are popping up around Holmes, Tuscarawas, and Wayne Counties.  Heini's Gourmet Market in Sugarcreek has a huge selection of Ohio wines besides many foods made in Ohio.  Gateway Place near Wilmot carries many Ohio wines and you can do wine tasting.  Although Breitenbach Winery is Ohio's 2nd largest winery they had better keep an eye on Raven's Glenn Winery that could easily pass them up in the ranks because of their great wines and fabulous customer service.  Winery at Perennial Vineyards is in an old dairy barn and their dry wines are especially appealing when many area wineries specialize in sweeter, dessert wine.
Garden Gate Get-A-Way B&B is doing Wine Tasting Dinner Weekends from September 2009  to  May 2010.  Visit their website for details and pricing.  This is your chance to do some wine tasting, tour a winery and have a 5 course dinner that includes 5 wines.
