Amish Country in Ohio Hosts Christmas Parade

Amish Country in Ohio brings back an old fashioned Christmas on November 27, 2009, with a living nativity parade up main street.  This is an annual Christmas tradition in Berlin, Ohio where people line Main Street to see the procession come down the street.  Complete with live animals, the nativity parade ends at the Square in Berlin where the Christmas Story is read.  Afterwards the shops re-open with sales, refreshments and more.  Guests from Garden Gate Get-A-Way Bed & Breakfast return Thanksgiving weekend for this special event.  Bed and breakfast guests will find something new.  This year Millersburg, Ohio will have their Home for the Holidays Christmas celebration on Saturday, November 28th, so visitors can celebrate an old fashioned Christmas on both days.  The Home for the Holidays Kickoff and Tree Lighting will take place on the Courthouse lawn. A fun-filled night of celebration, including caroling, nut roasting, and a special visit from Santa. The festivities are set to begin at 6:00pm, with a processional  escorting Santa to town.  Visitors will experience special Holiday events taking place at the downtown merchants during the festival.
