Romantic Getaways in Ohio include Amish Country

Holmes County, Ohio is full of lodging options from hotels to bed and breakfasts to cabins and more.  One of the newest options to open is one of the most romantic getaways in Ohio, Cottages at Garden Gate Get-A-Way.  The cottages were the vision of Herb & Carol Steffey, owners of the award-winning Garden Gate Get-A-Way Bed & Breakfast.  "People ask for cabins because of the privacy they offer and yet most cabins are very rustic." said Carol Steffey, "We wanted something elegant, luxurious and romantic!".  Evens the names suggest romance:  Falls Kiss Cottage and Springs Desire Cottage.  The name Falls Kiss Cottage was inspired by Bud Preston, Grammy-nominated, acoustic guitar player from Medina, Ohio.  He wrote a song called, Falls Kiss and the name was perfect for the cottage theme.  Each cottage has a peninsula fireplace that is centered so whether guests are having a light snack at the kitchen counter, lounging in the soft, micro-suede loveseat or chairs, or lying in bed they can see the fireplace!   The Roman-style Jacuzzi easily holds 2 people and has the tall, majestic pillars on each side.  All of the furniture and cabinets are Amish-made and very rich looking.  The mattress on the bed is a pillow-soft mattress for extra comfort along with 600-thread count sheets that feel like satin.  Each cottage has a kitchenette with microwave and mini-refrigerator which are perfect for enjoying a light snack or chilling some wine.  A 23 foot porch faces the field of horses next door and has a privacy shade to offer a more romantic ambiance.  Falls Kiss Cottage is decorated in warm tones with an autumn theme and Springs Desire Cottage is decorated in light, cheerful colors like spring time.  So the next time you are looking for a romantic getaway in Ohio with your sweetheart, don't forget Amish Country or Cottages at Garden Gate Get-A-Way.
