Ohio Wineries Offer More Than Just Wine

Ohio wineries offer some great wines but many times you will find theme nights, musical entertainment, and special dinners offered.  In the Amish Country region of Ohio you have several wineries to choose from.  One Ohio bed and breakfast does Wine Tasting Dinner Tours where you go to Ravens Glenn Winery and take a winery tour, participate in a wine tasting, and indulge in a 5 course dinner with 5 wines to compliment each course.  Ravens Glenn also has special themed nights like Florida Keys Night and Hawaiian Night with special foods and some great wines to compliment the foods.  The Winery at Perennial Vineyards has Friday night entertainment and midweek specials on wine and pizza.  Their pizzas are made from scratch and almost as popular as their award-winning wines.  Breitenbach Wine Cellars hosts an annual Dandelion Festival the first weekend in May.  Guests can take winery tours, wine tasting, enjoy musical entertainment, visit an arts and crafts tent, and partake in lots of good food.  In the summer you will find musical entertainment and outdoor BBQ.  One unique shop that is not a winery, but carries Ohio wines, is Heini's Gourmet Market in Sugarcreek.  They are an extension of Heini's Cheese near Berlin, so you will find cheese that you can pair with their wines and other gourmet foods.  They have regular cooking classes and musical entertainment as well.  These are just of a few of the places to go for Ohio wineries but be sure to check out the area because there are so many more!
