Bed and Breakfast in Millersburg Ohio Promotes 4th of July Fireworks and Celebration

Garden Gate Get-A-Way, a bed and breakfast in Millersburg Ohio, wants to take their guests back in time to a more simple time.  On Saturday, July 3, 2010, there is an Old-Fashioned Family 3rd of July event in Holmes County Amish Country in the village of Millersburg in lieu of the actual 4th of July.  The fun starts at noon with food vendors and activities.  The tent on the Courthouse lawn will have entertainment from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a benefit auction at 7 p.m. From 1 - 3 p.m. the Historical Society will offer Courthouse Tours celebrating the 125th anniversary of the courthouse.  There will be activities for kids and be sure to stop by the antique shops and other businesses on Main Street.  The Garden area off of State Route 39/Main Street will have afternoon Cornhole Tournaments and at 7 & 9 p.m. a 60's & 70's rock band called Target will perform.  To top of the evening there will be a fireworks display at 9:45 p.m.  Be sure to bring your lawn chairs because there will be a lot of events going on all day and evening.  Ask your innkeepers to map out some itineraries of the rest of Holmes County Amish Country for you the rest of the weekend.  Take yourself back in time to a more simple lifestyle and come and experience Millersburg, Ohio.
