Ohio Amish Country Lodging recommends Walnut Creek, Summer in the Village

One Ohio Amish Country lodging establishment, Garden Gate Get-A-Way Bed & Breakfast, loves to send their guests to Walnut Creek.  While it is one of the smallest tourist areas in Holmes County it is home to Coblentz Chocolate Company, Walnut Creek Cheese, Rebecca's Bistro, Carlisle House of Gifts, P. Graham Dunn, Der Dutchman Restaurant, and more!  On June 24 & 25, 2010 the town is hosting Summer in the Village.  On Thursday evening there will be entertainment on the lawn behind Carlisle Quick Mart.  It is free and open to the public.  (guests need to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs)  They will have refreshments available for purchase.  On Friday, Coblentz Chocolate Company will be giving away ice cream to showcase their own ice cream toppings.  There will also be a petting zoo with animals from the Farm at Walnut Creek.  The Farm will also be giving wagon rides around Walnut Creek on Friday.  Coupons will be given out for all businesses that are supporting this event.
