If your Amish Country vacation is over the 4th of July this year there is some exciting night life for you. Just a short drive from the Millersburg area is Wooster, Ohio, home of the Ohio Light Opera. They are in the middle of their 2010 performance season, but on July 4th there is a free concert in downtown Wooster. It is the 10th annual Star Spangled Celebration Pops Concert on the Square in downtown Wooster. Admission is free and the concert begins at 7 p. m. The program features the Ohio Light Opera Orchestra, directed by Michael Borowitz. Singers from the company's cast will perform as well. You will hear patriotic favorites such as When Johnny Come Marching Home Again, Yankee Doodle, America the Beautiful, and more. Other familiar songs include the Stars Spangled Banner, Dixie, Gem of the Ocean, and Everything's Coming Up Roses, to name a few. Bring lawn chairs because they plan to hold the concert on the square in downtown. If it should rain the back up location is McGaw Chapel on E. University. Garden Gate Get-A-Way Bed & Breakfast would love to host you when you come to this patriotic, 4th of July concert.
