Ohio vacation package online, or any lodging, be sure to read the fine print. How many times do people buy something online, you enter your credit card number, a pop up appears asking you to check a box that you agree to the terms and conditions, and you check the box without reading it? When it comes to lodging many of the online reservation programs have a terms and conditions pop up that includes cancel policies, smoking policies, pets policies, children policies, check-in and check-out terms, and more. If you just check the box without reading it may lead to a problem.
One example of this is a statement that reads, "Check-in time is from 3-6 p.m. Your reservation is being held with your credit card until 6 p.m. You will be considered a no-show if you do not arrive by 6 p.m.". If you work until 5 p.m. and it takes 2 hours to get to your lodging choice then you will arrive after 6 p.m. and you may not have a room when you arrive. Don't just assume that because you gave a credit card number that your room is confirmed. Another example of terms and conditions is a statement that reads, "Our bed and breakfast has a maximum of 2 people per guest room. No children under the age of 16 will be allowed". This doesn't go too well when Mom decides to bring her 12 year old daughter on a weekend getaway only to find out they they will not take the 12 year old and because of the 14 day cancel policy you don't get any refunds.
You can now see why it is very important to read the fine print when booking your Ohio vacation package online.
It is equally important that if you choose a bed and breakfast or hotel online and call on the telephone to make your reservations that you look for policies on their website. Similar rules may be posted on the website and if you violate any policies you may not have a room at the Inn.
