On Your Next Amish Country Vacation Visit Behalt in Berlin

When you take an Amish Country Vacation near Berlin, Ohio, there are certain places or attractions that you don't want to miss.   One of those places is at the Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center.  There is a 265 foot mural in the round called Behalt.  The mural was painted by the famous artist Heinz Gaugel and it depicts the history of the Mennonites and Amish.  The tour is narrated and explains the history of the Mennonite and Amish community dating back to Switzerland in 1525 through present day.   Guests to Behalt will also find a short film that talks about the Mennonite & Amish community in Holmes County, Ohio today.  There is also a room of clothing on display where you will find differences in how the various orders of Amish live.  In addition to historical data you will find a gift shop and tourist information at this center just outside of Berlin.  Be sure to call Garden Gate Get-A-Way Bed & Breakfast for over night lodging when you visit Berlin and Behalt.
