Wine Snob or Wine Novice, Don't Miss Ohio Wineries

Many people don’t expect to find Ohio wineries when they visit Amish Country.  There is one particular winery that sticks out from the rest, Ravens Glenn Winery.  When they started their winery around 7 years ago they had a goal of producing 1000-1200 gallons of wine but they were not sure that they would sell it all.  This year they expect to produce over 80,000 gallons of wine.  Whether you are a “wine snob” that has tried many wines from many regions, or whether you just want to try something new, Ravens Glenn Winery has a taste or flavor for everyone.    At their wine tasting bar you can try a flight of about 10 wines for $2.00 and you get to keep a souvenir glass.  If you really want to enhance your experience stop in around the dinner hour.  They have an on-site restaurant that sits on the Tuscarawas River with some of the best Tuscan or Italian food that you will ever find.   For the ultimate experience you can take Ohio Wine Tours that includes 2 nights lodging and a wine tasting tour with a stop at Ravens Glenn Winery for a winery tour, wine tasting, and dinner at their restaurant.  There are several other wineries to tour in the area when you visit Ravens Glenn Winery or Garden Gate Get-A-Way Bed & Breakfast.
