Make New Performing Arts Center Part of Your Ohio Weekend Getaways

People often look for new things when planning their Ohio weekend getaways.  Over in the Amish Country area is a brand new Performing Arts Center located on the Tuscarawas Campus of Kent State University.  The facility is of contemporary design and is 50,000 square-feet.  The center is home to an 1,100 seat theater with a mezzanine level and a communication balcony.  The lobby is two levels and can seat 368 guests for receptions and special events.  The inaugural season is 2010-2011 and features some big name talent.  In March 2011 comedian Bill Engvall will be there, as will singers Michael Bolton and Clint Black.  The broadway musical 'Avenue Q' will also be in March.  Mark your calendars for April 26, 2011 when the Improvised Shakespeare Company will perform.  Seasonal entertainment will include music, theater and musicals, and comedy.  In addition to "big name" entertainment you will find the Tuscarawas Philharmonic and the Schoenbrunn Valley Barbershop Chorus among 2011 performances.  You can visit their website for more information and ticket prices for the Performing Arts Center.  The Center is close to the world's largest Amish community, wineries, cheese factories, museums, historical homes, shopping, exotic animal farms, and more, so be sure to book a few days at an Amish Country Ohio bed and breakfast when you come.
