Pro Football Hall of Fame 2011 Enshrinement and Travel Ohio Amish Country in One Visit

The Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio has announced their Class of 2011 Enshrinement and Hall of Fame Game.   But did you know that you can travel to Ohio Amish Country on the same visit?  The Pro Football Hall of Fame is only about a 40-45 minute drive from the heart of Ohio Amish Country.
The Class of 2011 includes Richard Dent, Marshall Faulk, Chris Hanburger, Les Richter, Ed Sabol, Deion Sanders, Shannon Sharpe.  August 6th is the actual enshrinement and the Hall of Fame Game will take place on Sunday, August 7th.  The fun and festivities last more than two days.  You will find 13 days of activities leading up to the big event including concerts, fireworks, parades and more.
Plan some time to drive south and travel to Ohio Amish Country.  Holmes County and the surrounding area is home of the World's Largest Amish Community.  Not only will you find Amish-owned shops and bakeries, but the area is home to wineries, cheese factories, fine gifts, flea markets, animal ranches, museums, historical homes, antiques and more!  There are enough activities in Amish Country to keep you busy for an entire week, but if you don't have that much time we suggest that you book a room at a local bed and breakfast and the let the innkeepers help you plan out an itinerary to visit the must-see sites.  Your innkeeper can even arrange for you to have dinner in a private Amish home as part of your experience.
Combining the Pro Football Hall of Fame 2011 Enshrinement with some travel to Ohio Amish Country is the recipe for the perfect vacation!  If you are flying in the closest airport is the Akron Canton Airport.  This airport is just off of I-77 ask is the exits to Pro Football Hall of Fame and Amish Country.
