Harvest Festival and Rib Cook-Off are part of Ohio Weekend Getaways

Berlin, Ohio has combined two events to include in your Ohio weekend getaways.  The first is an annual rib cook-off where local restaurants and groups compete to have the title of Best Ribs in Town for the next year.  While strolling the streets of Berlin you can stop at the various stations where they are cooking ribs and purchase ribs to judge for yourself.  The 2nd event is a Fall Harvest Festival.  This event includes a parade, sidewalk sales at the shops in town, and entertainment.  The 2011 Harvest Festival and Rib Cook-off is September 10th.  While you are here pick up some fall decorations, squash, pumpkins and more.  On Main Street (State Route 39) you will find craft malls, antiques, fabrics, quilts, baskets, leather, a general store and more!   Take an Amish buggy ride while you're in town too.  Berlin, Ohio is centrally located in Holmes County so you are close to visit attractions in Walnut Creek, Sugarcreek, Mt. Hope, Charm, and Millersburg as well.
