Holmes County, Ohio with Holidays at the Mansion this year. This is an annual tradition at the Victorian House Museum in Millersburg. From November 19 - December 31, 2011 the house will be decked out for the holidays with trees, garland, flowers, lights, etc.
L.H. Brightman, a Cleveland industrialist, built this 28-room house in 1902. He lived there four years and moved away. At one time the home was purchased by local citizens and became a sanitarium for two years before it was sold to H.C. Lee, a senior partner of the Lee and Griggs Construction Company. For many years the house remained in the Lee family until it became a part of the Holmes County Historical Society in 1971. This Queen Anne style home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been featured on HGTV in the Victorian Homes Series.
Holidays at the Mansion will kick off on November 19, 2011 with a lighting ceremony and open house from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
