Christmas in Zoar Recommended by Amish Country Inn

If you would like to take a step back in time with an old-fashioned Christmas event in Ohio, our Amish Country Inn recommends that you visit Christmas in Zoar.  This German village was established in 1817 by a group of German separatists who came to the area for religious freedom and built a self sustaining village.  On December 3 (from 10-7) and December 4 (from Noon - 5), 2011 you can learn about this historical town while celebrating Christmas. There will be reindeer, horse-drawn wagon rides, carolers, arts & crafts fair with 35 vendors, free gingerbread and hot apple cider, private home tours, music and entertainment, and more. At the Zoar Church you will find organ music, high school choirs, a classical guitarist, bell choir, and a string quartet among the musical line up.  The $7 admission fee will get you admitted both days so you can make this a weekend visit!  Zoar is just a short drive from Amish Country Ohio so you will find plenty of holiday activities and shopping.
