Amish Country Ohio Bed and Breakfast Shares About New Attraction

At our Amish Country, Ohio bed and breakfast we are continually looking for new things for our guests to do.  We've hit the jackpot this time!  In 2013 a new museum will be opening, David Warther Carvings.  About 10 years ago when we first moved to the area, David Warther, grandson of master carver Mooney Warther, had a small museum in Sugarcreek.  One day it disappeared and we didn't know why.  David Warther has been busy completing his collection of carvings.  If you have ever been to Warther Museum in Dover you know that his grandfather carved locomotives.  David's talent lies in carving ships and they are amazing!  Some of the model ships are from the time period 3000BC and the time line continues to Christopher Columbus' ships and on to ships from the early 1900's.  Pictures don't do these carvings justice.  The intricate details can only be seen up close or through a magnifying glass.  At our bed and breakfast we cannot wait for this treasure to open.  We plan on offering some escorted tours on our tour bus and include this museum as a stop.  Stay posted to our Calendar of Events for details.
