Have an Ohio Romantic Vacation in the newly remodeled Rose Garden

If you are looking around Ohio for a romantic vacation you want to make sure you have a really nice room.  Our Ohio bed and breakfast has recently remodeled the Rose Garden Room that would make the perfect romantic getaway.  Located in the middle of the World's Largest Amish community our original rooms had a country decor.  Today's traveler is a little more sophisticated and wants a more updated look.  As a result we shut down the Rose Garden Room down for a couple of weeks and stripped out the old wallpaper, pulled up the old carpeting, and started the renovation.  The Rose Garden Room is a 2-room suite.  It has a sitting room with soft, microsuede Lazyboy recliners, a 32" flat screen TV, and a kitchenette that offers a mini-refrigerator and microwave oven.  The second room is the bedroom boasting an Amish-made king bed with a pillow-soft mattress and a corner fireplace.  The room also offers a private bath with full-size tub & shower.  The walls have been painted "Lively Yellow" but appear more green.  The flooring is cherry laminate flooring.  Now guests can have the modern look they crave with all of the comforts of home, or even better.

Murder Mystery Weekend in Ohio a huge success

Our Ohio bed and breakfast just hosted a murder mystery weekend with the theme of Murder in the Mediterranean.  Guests checked in on Friday taking on the character of a crew member on a cruise ship.  The "Captain" gave the crew the first night off to have fun on the ship.  We started in the "ship's lounge" and played the Newlywed Game.  A couple that had been married 44 years won the game!  Next the crew went to the "casino" and played roulette and a dice game while having some refreshments.  The last adventure of the evening was to go back to the ship's "lounge" and have a Battle of the Sexes.  There were four rounds to compete in.  The men were winning by a land slide until the last round when the women passed them up, winning the battle.  On Saturday evening the "ship's crew" was invited to the "Captain's Table" in the dining room and a murder was announced.  Over five courses of food the clues began to unravel the mystery but at the end of the night only one person guest who the murderer was.  Tons of fun was had by all and everyone said that they want to return and do another mystery.
Garden Gate Get-A-Way Bed & Breakfast offers murder mystery weekends on a regular basis.  These weekend packages include lodging, the mystery with dinner, and breakfast each morning.
