2014 Ohio Swiss Festival in Sugarcreek

It's hard to believe that 2014 marks the 62nd annual Ohio Swiss Festival.  Sugarcreek is home to Swiss immigrants which leaves no surprise that there are five Swiss cheese factories in the area.  The festival has grown each year to include arts & crafts, wine & cheese tasting, a 5k and 10k run, games, entertainment, tons of food, and parades.  Be amazed at the huge Alphorns and the skill it takes to blow them.

When:  September 26 & 27, 2014
Where: Sugarcreek, Ohio
Friday:  Kids Parade, Craft Tent, Entertainment starts at Noon, Wine & Cheese tasting
Saturday: Antique Car Parade, Grand Parade, Craft Tent, 5k & 10k runs, continuous Entertainment, Wine & Cheese tasting

In addition to festival events you can shop the shops on Main Street, visit the restaurants, bulk food store, buy chocolates, and more.  Helpful Hint:  Bring lawn chairs!  The parades are fun but standing for long periods of time is not.
